WEDDING IN REX SMEAL PARK PORT DOUGLAS

My second wedding on 21st November was in Rex Smeal Park and we had to dodge the showers but managed to find 30 minutes of sun to have their wedding. A local couple from Mossman and their friends and lots of fun.

WEDDING AT ST MARYS BY THE SEA PORT DOUGLAS

On Saturday 21st I travelled up to Port Douglas to perform my first of two weddings that day. The first was a ceremony at the beautiful St Marys Chapel by the Sea for a couple from NSW and around 25 friends. A nervous groom who relaxed when he saw his beautiful bride and there was lots of laughter when they both said I WILL before they should.

WEDDING IN ANGSANA CHAPEL PALM COVE

On Friday 20th I acted as Celebrant for a couple from NSW and around 50 of their friends. Another beautiful day in paradise with the doors of the Angsana Chapel open to the slight breeze and a very happy newly wed couple.

WEDDING PALM COVE

On 18th November I was at the Angsana Chapel to act as Celebrant for a couple from NSW and their guests. It was an amazing day at Palm Cove with hardly any breeze and another day with the seas flat and blue and a cloudless blue sky. What an wonderful place for a wedding in this glass chapel overlooking the beach. No wonder it is so very popular. Palm Cove is indeed Paradise.

PALM COVE WEDDING

On 12th November I was again at the beautiful Angsana Chapel, overlooking the pristine Palm Cove Beach. A lovely simple ceremony between an English couple and their guests from England and Australia. A few tears but also laughter between us all.

WEDDING AT IL PALAZZO CAIRNS

On 5th November I acted as Celebrant at a small ceremony at the Il Palazzo Boutique Hotel in Cairns. I had not been there before and I was pleasantly surprised. The brides daughter had an amazing voice and she sang during the signing of the register and the bride had organised a surprise for her groom of a bagpiper, who appeared on the balcony at the start of the ceremony. I always find bagpipe music so haunting and special. The couple were nervous but happy and it was a pleasure to marry them.

WEDDING ON PALM COVE BEACH

On the morning of 4th November I was the Celebrant for an eloping couple on the beach at Palm Cove. A lovely sunny day and not too hot and they were so happy.

CELEBRANT AT SILKY OAKS LODGE

On 3rd November I travelled to the beautiful Silky Oaks Lodge near Mossman for a ceremony for an interstate couple and their two beautiful little daughters. All their guests had also travelled from interstate and the ceremony was on the banks of the lagoon which is a beautiful setting.

CELEBRANT AT CAIRNS COLONIAL CLUB RESORT

On 2nd November I was back again at the Colonial Club and this time for a local couple who were having their ceremony in the gazebo surrounded by their friends and family.

CELEBRANT AT TRINITY BEACH

On the afternoon of Sunday 1st November I welcomed many interstate guests to a beach wedding. The brides girlfriends formed a guard of honour for the bride on her walk down the steps and each handed her a flower which then became her bouquet. It was lovely day with the breeze picking up towards the end of the ceremony.
