HOT AIR BALLOON WEDDING

This morning I married a couple from Victoria in a hot air balloon at dawn, with their mothers acting as witnesses. The rain came down just as we finished and we completed the signing of their documents in the Mareeba Heritage Centre and they continued on to Palm Cove for their champagne breakfast. I would have liked an early night tonight but I am flying to Sydney tonight for a milestone birthday celebration for a very close friend of mine who I have known since we were 20 working in London… We will have fun….

MARRIAGE PARADISE PALMS RESORT

On Saturday we managed to dodge the rain and the sun came out for just enough time for my local couple to be married. She looked beautiful….. I had also married her sister a few years ago and she brought her little daughter with her to act as flower girl… It was such a happy family occasion.

LIZARD ISLAND WEDDING

On 15th September I was lucky enough to fly over to Lizard Island which is my most favourite place in the whole world. I married a couple from New South Wales who were again eloping and after a glass of my favourite champagne I left them with their photographer to go and have sunset photographs. I was sad to come back the next day but it was as special as always..

PALM COVE WEDDING

On 14th September I married an eloping couple from Tasmania and we had a photographer and the bride’s sister as witnesses. The Bride trashed her dress afterwards and had a wonderful time doing so. This is becoming so popular in the past year or so.

CAIRNS WEDDING

On the afternoon of Sunday 12th September I married one of my closest friends to her soulmate. There were definitely tears in my eyes when I read them a special poem. It was such a lovely afternoon and how special to be able to do this for a friend…

CELEBRANT SEA TEMPLE RESORT PALM COVE

Yesterday on 11th September I acted as Celebrant for an interstate couple and around 70 guests on the beach at Sea Temple Palm Cove. A beautiful day and we could see for miles and just a slight breeze. It was fun and they had two of their guests reading a poem which made it so much more personal.

WEDDING PEPPERS BALE PORT DOUGLAS

On Friday 10th I went to Peppers Bale at Port Douglas for a very small and intimate wedding ceremony in one of their pavilion style accommodation houses. I was very impressed with the accommodation as I hadnt been there before and its one of those places where I could imagine taking a holiday myself. There were only five guests who had travelled from Japan and interstate to see their children marry and we had a horse and buggy as well to complete the day.

WEDDING THALA BEACH

On Sunday 5th September I travelled back to Thala Beach again – the second time in the last few days – this time the weather was not too kind to us and we had their wedding within the resort itself which is always lovely. Really nice couple and lots of hugs and kisses afterwards.

WEDDING AT PALM COVE JETTY

Later on the afternoon of 4th September I married an interstate couple with their children and two friends to act as witnesses. The bride was very emotional which in turn made her husband emotional and I left them all to celebrate together at one of Palm Cove’s wonderful restaurants.

MARRIAGE AT YORKEYS KNOB

Early on the morning of 4th September I married a couple who had flown up to join their family and friends and also flown up their dog as well. The morning had started badly with lots of rain but by 10am the skies had cleared and they were married in sunshine. A butterfly release followed which was lovely.
