ELOPEMENT PALM COVE

Yesterday I married a lovely couple from Yorkshire in England. They were so natural and happy and glad to be here in this amazing part of the world. We decided to have their wedding opposite the webcam at Palm Cove so that their family in England could watch on the website and I emailed the Bride’s mother a photo immediately after their ceremony using my blackberry. The wonderful couple from the Melaleuca Resort acted as witnesses and they also picked a bunch of flowers from their garden which was such a lovely touch. A couple from Melbourne also staying at the resort came along to watch and it was lovely and simple and meaningful and I loved it. After a glass of bubbles afterwards with Colyn their photographer and the happy couple, they continued up the beach to have some more photos. Hope we can catch up again one of these years – maybe when they renew their vows.

RENEWAL OF VOWS PEPPERS PALM COVE

On Sunday 14th I renewed the wedding vows for a couple from Innisfail. I absolutely loved this ceremony – it was their 34th wedding anniversary and they had their two daughters and their husbands there as well as their original best man and bridesmaid. The original wedding photos were such a reminder of what we wore 30 years ago. This has to be one of my most favourite types of celebration – if a couple who have been together for such a long time can still want to be remarried then this is a true testiment to their successful marriage. I had such fun and a glass of bubbles afterwards to celebrate.

WEDDING AT THE SEBEL REEF HOUSE PALM COVE

On 13th November I married a young couple – again from Victoria – on the beach opposite the Sebel Reef House at Palm Cove. They had a sand ceremony which looked lovely with the different coloured layers afterwards.

GREEN ISLAND WEDDING

On 11th November I travelled by ferry to Green Island to perform a marriage between a young couple from Victoria who had their wedding on the beach in the late afternoon witnessed by their families. I got to spend the night which was an added bonus and the photos looked amazing.

GLENOMA PARK WEDDING

On Saturday 6th November I married a local couple in Glenoma Park which had a medieval theme. It was the joining together of two blended families and it was a lot of fun. I believe they partied into the early hours of the following morning.
