PALM COVE ELOPEMENT

Yesterday afternoon I married a couple from NSW on the beach at Palm Cove with the photographer and one of my friends as witnesses. The bride wore a fabulous 70’s short lacy dress and looked amazing. We all had fun.

GOLDSBOROUGH WEDDING

My third wedding on 20th August was in the garden of a couple living in Goldsborough. A lovely drive from Cairns and attended by their children and grandchildren. I enjoyed it.

WEDDING AT ZANZOO RETREAT REDYNCH

My second ceremony was at Zanzoo – a lovely property at Redlynch. A local couple were married in front of around 150 guests and it was fun and enjoyable.

ANGSANA BARRIER REEF CHAPEL PALM COVE

This was the first of three weddings I performed today – the 20th August – and it started at 12 noon at the beautiful Angsana Chapel for a couple from Southern Queensland and the bride’s young son. It was a glorious day so all the doors were open and their guests were able to look out over the sea.

BEACH WEDDING AT PALM COVE

On the late afternoon of 17th August I married a local couple in front of a few family and friends on the beach at Palm Cove. They had written their own vows and ring exchange words and it was very emotional and happy, and lovely to see a couple so in love and committed to each other. I hope they live happily ever after.

PALM COVE ELOPEMENT

My second wedding of the day was on the beach at Palm Cove for a couple from NSW and we had two staff members from Amphora to witness their ceremony and take some photos for them. A very romantic bridegroom and his very happy and emotional bride – even the witnesses had tears in their eyes. I enjoyed it.

ANGSANA CHAPEL PALM COVE

On 16th August I married a couple currently living in Victoria, and originally English born. They had a few family members present from England and the bride looked amazing. They wrote their own vows which were very funny and the guests all had a good laugh.

WEDDING AT RYDGES TRADEWINDS CAIRNS

My second wedding of the day was at the Rydges Tradewinds on the Cairns Esplanade. This time a couple from Victoria and their young daughter, watched by around 10 family and friends. It was fun and happy and enjoyable.

SEBEL CAIRNS HOTEL WEDDING

On 12th August I performed a marriage ceremony in the gazebo of the Sebel Cairns Hotel – my first of two weddings today. I really enjoyed marrying a young couple from Weipa – they had around 90 family and friends and it was such a pleasure to see two people making their commitment to each other and so obviously in love! One of their friends read a poem to us which was lovely and their bridal party were great.

GREEN ISLAND WEDDING

On 10th August I travelled to Green Island to perform a marriage on the beach at sunset for a couple from the ACT and attended by the bride’s twin sister and her partner. It was an amazing evening – the sea was flat calm and the sunset was one of the best. Turtles were popping their heads out of the ocean as they made their vows and much fun was had by all. I really enjoyed my glass of French champagne on the beach – what a wonderful job I have! I stayed the night and after a relaxing sleep I saw two whales breaching as I travelled back to Cairns the next morning. What more can you ask for – my day was complete!
