12th August saw me waiting for the groom and his groomsmen sky dive into Trinity Beach which was a first for me.  Their ceremony was in a little cove at the very southern end of Trinity Beach and the bride and her bridesmaids walked along the path to us.  There were representatives from the local TV station with photographs in the local paper.  Maybe the adventure wedding will take off in the future – we will see.

I acted as Celebrant at a beautiful ceremony at St Marys Chapel Port Douglas on 10th August with the couple and their respective families all from England. A member from each family spoke at the ceremony and their speeches had been kept secret until the day.  They were fantastic and so personal.  The newly weds  had decided to have a holiday after their wedding and they were planning to go whale watching later in the week as well as visiting our beautiful Barrier Reef.

Two weddings this month at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort.  The first on 8th August with a special couple and their family and friends.  The second on 16th August with many guests, most of which were from Weipa and I am sure they all had a lot of fun at the reception.

A lovely wedding on the beach at Coolums on 8th August with a couple I have known for a while and lots of guests from around Australia.  It was such a pleasure and I know they will live happily ever after.

What an incredibly busy month August has been and its not over yet.  Beautiful wedding at Peppers on 6th August by the pool with guests from England.  A beautiful day in Paradise.

1st August saw me at Pondarossi -  private gardens near Trinity Beach.  A large local wedding in these amazing gardens and a lot of fun.

On 26th July I acted as Celebrant for a couple from the Netherlands who were on holiday in our Tropical Paradise.  Despite threatening weather conditions earlier in the day their ceremony was beautiful – they arrived in a stretch limousine and there were many Trinity Beach locals lining the street to see what was happening.  We had a butterfly release which was beautiful.

25th July saw me at the Flecker Botanic Gardens  – a family occasion as they all took part in this lovely ceremony.

On 24th July I performed a ceremony at Angsana Resort, Palm Cove – just a few international guests and a pleasure to be a  part of their special day.
