Today and tomorrow I will be at the Angsana Chapel at Palm Cove, overlooking the ocean and I am looking forward to acting as their Celebrant. Today’s ceremony is for an interstate couple with about 40 guests and tomorrow it is a local couple with around 20 overseas and local guests. The sun is shining and there is a slight breeze so wonderful wedding conditions as usual in this wonderful part of the world.
Yesterday I performed a wedding poolside at the Kuranda Resort and Spa – there were a few tears from the overseas guests and the couple themselves couldnt stop smiling. Great music and lots of fun.
This morning I acted as Celebrant for a couple at Treetops Park in Forest Gardens Cairns. Their border collie Barney had the rings around his neck and acted as a wonderful furry ring bearer who came when he was called.
On 16th October I performed a ceremony at the little cove in Rex Smeal Park for a couple and their two children and 6 guests. A lovely family occasion and lots of fun
I travelled up the beautiful scenic road from Cairns to Thala Beach Lodge on 15th October to marry a lovely eloping couple overlooking the beach on another magical day in paradise. Flat blue sea and cloudless sky and just a breath of wind. I enjoyed it.
10th October was a busy day for me. My first wedding was at 2.30pm on the beach at Palm Cove opposite the Sebel Reef House . Some young singers serenaded us as we signed the certificates and the guests all walked down to the jetty afterwards for a group photograph. My second ceremony was at the little cove at Yorkeys Knob near the Yacht Club. Around 120 people watched this lovely couple get married. It was a black and white themed wedding and the bride and bridesmaids looked amazing. It was a lot of fun. My third and last ceremony for the day was late in the afternoon at a private house in Cairns with a small group of guests in attendance. Three lovely children walked in with their mother and as the evening drew in they left for their reception at the Blue Sky Brewery. I know they will be happy forever.
9th October was a beautiful afternoon wedding at the Cairns Yacht Club at Ellis Beach. Guests travelled from Weipa and Thursday Island and interstate to watch this happy couple exchange their vows. As I left the party was starting.
On Sunday 4th October I was on the beach at Palm Cove opposite the Angsana Resort. Many guests from interstate and a very happy couple. We had some interesting photographs with golf clubs and golf balls and I look forward to seeing these in due course.
On Saturday 3rd October I was at the Cairns Yacht Club, Ellis Beach for a wedding for a local man and the beautiful bride he met overseas. It was another beautiful day in paradise.
