On 5th November I acted as Celebrant at a small ceremony at the Il Palazzo Boutique Hotel in Cairns. I had not been there before and I was pleasantly surprised. The brides daughter had an amazing voice and she sang during the signing of the register and the bride had organised a surprise for her groom of a bagpiper, who appeared on the balcony at the start of the ceremony. I always find bagpipe music so haunting and special. The couple were nervous but happy and it was a pleasure to marry them.
