On the morning of Sunday 6th December I travelled up the wonderful scenic road to Port Douglas where I met a couple who were holidaying on a cruise liner which had docked at Port Douglas for the day. Family members had travelled to Port Douglas to meet them and we had a lovely ceremony on Little Cove overlooking the sea and they continued on their way to sample the Sunday Markets and to have a celebratory meal afterwards. I managed to buy a few Christmas presents myself at the markets and then after a quick coffee I made my way back to Cairns for a free afternoon.
