On Saturday 19th June I married a local couple in Nu Nu Restaurant at 5pm. It was a lovely ceremony and they said some special words to each other which is always so special.
Yesterday I acted as Celebrant for a couple from America who decided to renew their wedding vows in Palm Cove as this is where he proposed two years ago. They had guests who had travelled from the USA and the page boy and flower girl were wonderful.
At lunchtime on Friday 18th June I married an English couple who had spent the previous few days taking lots of tours around the region. On their last day in Australia they were married on the beach with the photographer and wedding co-ordinator as witnesses, to spend their honeymoon flying through the skies to return to England, and apparently they would be back at work again on Monday. They decided to come back again in 2011 to renew their vows on the beach as they loved Palm Cove so much. Look forward to seeing them again then.
On the afternoon of Sunday 13th June I was at Palm Cove and there were hundreds of people around as there was an arts and crafts expo on the beach. The wind picked up quite considerably and it was interesting to watch the results… Lots of fun and again a really lovely couple
On the morning of Sunday 13th June I drove to Lake Placid to a private house with an amazing view over the countryside. A local couple were married amongst their local and interstate guests and we even had an uninvited guest who joined us in the form of a phython. I did find myself moving quite quickly as a result.
My last ceremony for the day on 12th June was at the Kewarra Beach Resort for a local couple and their guests from interstate and overseas. Lots of beautifully dressed guests and a really nice couple. It was such a pleasure to act as their celebrant.
On 12th June I performed a wedding opposite the Sebel Reef House at Palm Cove for the son of some friends of mine. The groom had put so much thought into his ceremony and it was lovely to read his special words to them. After a glass of champagne I continued on to act as Celebrant at another wedding and left behind some very happy people.
On 12th June I performed my second wedding of the day at 9.30am the southern end of Trinity Beach for a local couple and their family and friends. They had hired a coffee cart and cut their wedding cake on the beach before having their brunch at the local Lunico Restaurant. I enjoyed it.
Saturday 12th June was a very busy day for me and it started at dawn on the beach opposite the Sea Temple Resort in Port Douglas for a couple from interstate and about 16 friends. It was dark as we were setting up and then the bride walked up the beach as the sun was rising on a beautiful day in Paradise. Flat sea and blue sky and it was a beautiful ceremony and lots of fun.
On Friday 11th June I acted as Celebrant for an interstate couple and their two friends as witnesses on the beach opposite the Sebel Reef House. It was a great day and really enjoyed my time with them.
