On 20th July I participated in a Renewal of Vows Ceremony for a couple originally from England but now living in Darwin. It was their 20th wedding anniversary which made it even more special. Their son and twin daughters were there and she walked up the beach with her father in law who handed her over to his son and he was so proud. Lovely words and lots of emotion and a very special day on the beach with a glorious blue sky and blue sea and happy people What more can you ask for…
Yesterday afternoon I was back at Coolums at Holloways Beach to marry a couple from the Gold Coast in front of around 80 guests. It was a lovely afternoon and they looked so happy to be together. They had a shell ceremony included which made everyone feel very welcome and valued.
On 9th July I had two weddings. The first was at Coolums at Holloways Beach for a couple from South Australia who were married on the beach in front of their family and friends. The second was for a couple from southern Queensland who were married at the bride’s parent’s home in Cairns. They had a marquee in the garden and it was lots of fun.
On 8th July I married a couple from just south of Cairns who had eloped and were married in the grounds of Peppers Beach Club and Spa at Palm Cove. It was a very simple ceremony and they happily went off for photographs on the beach.
I have just flown back from Lizard Island where I married a beautiful couple from Victoria yesterday afternoon in the gazebo at Lizard Island. I had such a lot of fun and it is always a pleasure to fly into my most favourite island in the world. The food was as usual amazing and I can never pass up my favourite champagne to toast the couple. Can’t wait to start planning my next visit.
